Default how to make pitted RAKU

Hi All,,, Lately I've seen a few ppl post on Pintrest beads that look like the are pitted and Raku looking...I'd love to know how to get this look ,, it looks like stone and I really like the effect. Is it with some kind of etching liquid? Or is it in making the glass bead itself?

most of the pitting effects I have seen are with a coat or two of baking soda that the hot bead is rolled in. It helps bake in the pits you see. They are also etched. HTH
