Default new colors??

Just placed a quick order from ABR after stumbling on some colors I didn't know about. Not finding much online, thought I'd see if anyone has any comments on them here:

NS Purple Lilac - looks like it's been around for a bit but I hadn't heard of it! Looks like Pink Slyme, wondering if it works the same? Order just came today, haven't been able to light the torch yet

Momka Purple Spirit - I cannot find any photos of this but purple anything in boro is worth trying imo. I will post what I get but would love to hear from others.

Momka Melba Melange - again, no photos online that I can find. Sounded intriguing and I love Momka's colors, so I bought 1/4 lb to play with. Anyone else try this one?

ooooow. Thanks for the positive vote on that one, Phyllis ... and new Momka colors. Always happy news.

I love Slyme and especially Satin Slyme. Now I gotta grab me some Purple Lilac. No ABR for me though ... my cart won't work and they didn't bother to answer my inquiry. Guess they are too busy making Amish Furniture.

Ok got a few test beads done the other day and want to share before life gets any crazier around here! Sorry for the bad pics...

Melba Melange:

1. disc of just melba
2. melba, sm clr frit, 1/2 encased
3. melba, lg clr, not encased
4. melba, silver creek sm, encased
No flame striking attempted, wanted to see what it did on its own

Purple Spirit:

1. disc of just PS
2. PS, sm clr frit, 1/2 encased
3. PS, lg clr frit, not encased
4. PS, silver creek, encased
5. PS encased
6. PS disc, encased, reduced
Again, no flame striking attempted, just tossed in kiln

melba on left, PS on right

melba on left, PS on right

Thanks for the pictures, Susan.

Looks like they are playing with color layering at Momka's.

I was snooping around ... that Purple Lilac is a must to add to my stock pile!!

Yeah, I love Purple Lilac. I hope they make a version with fewer bubbles in the rod, though. The color is stellar, but the bubbles look a little sloppy.

Check MGA for odds on purple lilac. No pics Susan of Wasibi, but it is a light grn. Are you members of 'Glass Color Awareness' on FB? Great current info going on.

glass color awareness? Oh my I'm in trouble. I will go join, hadn't heard about that one! Awesome!!!

Made one purple lilac bead today - I did notice small bubbles, but it was very smooth, liked it. Will post a pic of the bead later when it's cooled down.

That's the second time I've seen that mentioned, but searching for it by name on FB brings up nothing - anyone got the name or link the group is actually under?
