Default Ivory with reducing glass?

I recall being taught that using a reducition glass on ivory results in unattractive grey/black swatches of color. Mi have - too many times - proven the lesson true

Are there any ivories and/or any specific reduction glasses that work together niceley?

Thanks in advance.
Stefanie

If you can work with 96 COE, most of the ivories are only minimally reactive. Silver glass will fume anything though.

Try Effetre Silver Pink or Opal Yellow. Messy Butter Pecan or Ginger as alternatives to Ivory.

Is it possible to lightly etch off the fume with coke or one of the toilet bowl cleaners?

My other thought is to lightly encase the ivory in clear and then add the reaction glass over the clear.

Right, encase the ivory first. Wonderful. Thank you all. I will give these a whirl and see how I fare.
