Shipping glass
Just an fyi...for those of you selling and shipping glass rods. Those tuby shipping things just don't seem to work very well. Three times now I have receive glass in these tubes and I got some broken rods. Not just broken in half but with some frit in the bottom.

I have had glass shipped in tubes without a problem. Maybe the tubes used in your shipments were not large enough...so not enough bubble wrap? Just a thought.

I've never had a problem receiving or gotten any bad responses from shipping in tubes. Either the mail people were playing baseball with your tube or the glass wasn't packed solid enough maybe?

No problems here either. I sent a tube all the way to Denmark and received one from Canada for the traveling bead game with only 1 rod broke. I think someone is throwing yours around.

I think it may have something to do with carrier handling. I've seen the Post Office, local here, pitch it over the wall. They also leave my packages on the sidewalk (in all weather) on Main Street. No fair....

My husband used to work for the post office; he says packages are tossed from heights, kicked, and occasionally run over. I suspect other carriers have similar techniques.
