Thank you Michael for such a well-written, clearly photographed tutorial; it's great.

I can't wait to get some time at the torch to play, I have lots of different colour ideas swirling around - not sure how successful they'll be though I'm sure I'll have lots of fun experimenting!

Marianne.

Even though I have taken your class, Michael, I still feel your tutorials are worth every penny. The beautiful illustrations and clear instructions are fantastic! There is always something extra and things I forgot . . .
Thank you.

Thanks Michael. This is a fantastic tutorial. I love that you explain why you do things a certain - I always like to know the reason.

Great! I hope that everybody is having fun with the bead. I've only been sent pictures of beads from one person. I hope that this doesn't mean she's the only one who has made any window beads. I'd like to see what you are doing. And let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Michael

O.k., I will start and show one of my beads - although I don't understand anything... Sorry, my last posting did sound a little weird, but this is how I feel: the more I do know about the window-beads, the less I do SEEM to understand... I am so stupid! Too stupid to do it right. And can you believe that I am too stupid to CLEAN as well as CREATE windows AND fronts? Hey, I seem to be a desperate housewife, trying to get the windows as clean as possible. AND: I seem to be a desperate architect as well, trying to create windows, I am forgetting to create as many heavy fronts as necessary as well. But at least I am trying!

It certainly is a matter of quantities. I might learn to get the quantities right - one day?!

Thank you, Michael, for this wonderful tutorial!

Martina, you are way too hard on yourself. That is a lovely bead. Your windows look like there is frost around the edges! What a "cool" effect!

Michael, what a wonderful tutorial.
I have not been able to torch, but I hope to be able to soon.

Thank you, Leigh and Margriet!

Margriet, your windows seem to be hidden behind curtains, and this looks lovely as well!

Martina and Margriet,

Thank you for posting the pictures. Martina, yes, you did get the windows. The inside of the bead looks really interesting. Margriet, your bead looks really nice and the colors in the windows look good but it looks like the rubino dots were too large to make clear windows. If you make the dots much smaller, you should have the window results.

Michael

Thank you for the tips, I will try next time and show it here. I have sold the bead already, so I have earned the tutorial back, hahaha.

Thanks a lot!

I can't post a picture. The bead I made - adapted to my own style and colour scheme - sold even before I could photograph it.
Thanks again Michael.

Ok my dots were to large for the leaf, I knew it the second the first dot landed on the bead, but other wise I'm happy with my first one.

Finally got some time to try this yesterday. What fun! Can't wait to try some other color combos.

I have one to share....
It was the very first one I made; I was visiting Martina, and she told me what to do, so there is no raking in the windows, because I raked first On this pic you can see through the bead, but there is also a pearly shimmer on the base; depending on how you hold it to the light.

The shape is not perfect, but I was happy to have windows at least

Regards
Angela
