Default Flower bead

I recently saw an impromptu (free) sculpted flower bead tut but I can't find it now.

Can anyone tell me how to make sculpted petals? I am wanting to try out an idea I had but first I need to know how to make petals.

Heat the end of a rod and squish it, then pull it off. The size of the heated mass will determine the size of the petal.
