Default December S&T

I can't find the S&T for this month anywhere. I'm going through withdrawal.

Sorry to confuse you, I had been lurking for several days and finally decided I needed to start something on December 7th, hence the strange title for the thread! I was worried all the boro peeps had fallen into a black hole!

I haven't posted for a while so here is a dichro vortex marble (1.5"). The dichro looks much better in real life. The other picture is a boro "E" murrine I just did for part of my signature cane.

Chris, those are fantastic ornaments! I'd like Santa to bring them all to me.
Eric, love the marble, the colors are so vibrant.

Default Horse Pendant

I had a request for a horse pendant...never tried one before, so I came up with this. Pretty pleased sans eyes.

Very nice horse a friend of mine took me horse back riding awhile ago and I thought I should make her a horse bead as a thank you. But it is so hard I think I should just buy one.

Wow everyone's boro is so beautiful, I would love to learn how to do the ornaments. Do you make them with tube glass. I just make little beads and a couple pendants, I have tried some boro, and want to do more, I just need to get more O2. LOL. I haven't been able to get my torch hooked back up yet, we just moved and all my glass is in boxes LOL

Sounds to me like the perfect time to take the complete plunge into the boro world...

Hi Jamie,
I wish I could, I can only do so much on my minor. I have another torch but not enough O2 for it. I have to get more money coming if first, we are really tight on money right now. I hope to get a bigger set up, in the future, but I will make my beads until then. I can do boro in them, I just don't get all the colors like everyone else does. One day I will though.

I'm a boro newbie. Here are my 3rd and 4th sets of boro beads mixed together.
I was wondering if there are any videos that include encasing beads? Down the equator is one thing but how to get it closer to the mandrel??
