I really like Honey Glaze. I use it over turquoise. It is subtle but so much more in person.

Can someone tell me how the sizing of BellaDonna frit runs? Is it about the same as DH in size? I see there is also x-large frit .... Anyone use that size? What size is the Moody Blue frit that is in the photos in this thread? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Angie - The size of the frit really depends on what you want to use it for. This picture is a big round bead that I encased, rolled in large Moody Blue frit, reduced, and then encased again. I like it that way so that the frit kind of floats in its own layer.

When I'm using frit on the outside of a bead and not melting it in, I like to use a smaller size, but it all depends on what you like. I think the sizes are similar to the DH frit sizes.

I'm so excited ... my Purplescent and Teal-icious came yesterday and I'm torching like crazy today. If any thing turns out well enough to photograph, I'll post it. I have some Moody Blue rods and frit coming too.

Thank you all for the help in deciding what I needed!!! It's wonderful to be able to ask a question and have knowledgeable people give freely of information and photos. You all are the BEST!!!

QUESTION - Is Teal-icious supposed to look teal going into the kiln or does it develop in there?

Angie - You need to reduce it and get the shine on BEFORE you put it in the kiln. It is easily over-reduced, so go lightly. You can always burn off the reduction and start over. Hayley (the silver glass queen) told me once you have your bead shape ready, you should first reduce the bead in a dragon's breath flame while the bead is still warm, then gently brush it with the yellow candles in the lower part of flame to bring out those pretty colors she gets. I haven't tried it yet myself. Good luck!!

Thanks Lisa.....I just don't understand doing the dragons breathe cuz I feel like that is going to automatically over reduce my bead right away. So, I usually go so slow that I get nothing. I'll give it a try tomorrow and do what Hayley says and see what happens.

"Teal-isious" would be one of them for sure. I was 'gifted' a rod from the gals at Arrowsprings. Was playing around with it the other day and it is nice to use and beautiful color!
