Welcome to our newest Round of our Boro-Box game. We're winding down our current game, and it seems some folk are already ready to play again! Sign-ups are open to everyone who's got a love of Boro, and a good attitude.

If you're not familiar with how our game works, please refer to the thread in this forum called "Boro-Box 27" for more info...feel free to ask questions if you've got 'em.

It's not back yet Jamie - after you it had a weird turn, then went on to Donna, who has now sent it up to see Patrick aka Splitflame in Canada. Then home-sweet-home to me. The game is still "on" in the 'other' thread, complete with tracking.

Our Box #27 is now being looked over by the Customs folk - one can only wonder WHAT they possibly think of it all ~ glass, frit, dichro, tools - even a bead wand...a veritable bonanza ~ all neatly packaged in a Tupperware Box!

Got you both down, and sign-ups ae now closed! Patrick has our last round Box (#27), and will be shipping it back to me next week, so we should be ready to rock 'n roll in approx 2 weeks.

Players, please take note for this new Round: There will be NO tools, molds, pokey things or extranneous items traded in this Round. Please only trade glass for glass, and frit for frit ~ period. And NO shorts. We use full-size rods, cut in half for our trades. Baggies for the frit, as hard containers also take up too much room and space.

Nothing else. This helps to be able to package the contents securely, as well as keeps the weight of the Box more reasonable, as no-one needs unwanted tools weighing things down and taking up space.

Further - although we've had great overall success with little damage to the Box contents, please use your common sense when re-packaging for the next Player. If something is smashed, broken to bits, pulverized, etc - please post that you have removed it from our Box. We also don't need broken bits of glass taking up space in our Box, as well as the risk to subsequent Players to hurt themselves while pawing through the contents.

That's Anna, a Blue and Gold Macaw..... she will be 4 years old on Februsry 11 and we have had her a year. She is spoiled rotten and wonderful!!!

Heads up folks: I got our last round's Box o' Boro back yesterday, so I'll be going through it ~ pulling out some things, adding in others, and it should be ready to go to our first Player sometime next week.

I am curious if anybody knows this: it came back in a cardboard box, and I'm wondering where it got changed to that along the way. No biggie, but I did find it rather odd....

I think it was the person after me. Which kinda peeves me a bit as I made a few special trips to find a new heavy duty latching plastic one to take the place of the original beat up one.

I seem to remember in a post that he said it left him in a brown box.

"Ok peeps I sent the box on it's way to the next lucky player. Donna MacFawn aka Donnam please be on the look out for a big brown truck. This truck will have in it a box, said box should only be used to store paper plates and picnic supplies....But instead it has 15 lbs. of glass and has made it all over the place and back."

This was supposed to be FUN. Frankly, it seems that some folk have misplaced their sense of fun, I dunno...I've got a ton of glass and whatnot all over my Studio floor, waiting to be sorted into the next game, but ya know what? It all takes time and effort, and - no offence to anyone - but it seems that my efforts for the most part end up with me getting 'dumped on' in some kind of way, and I'm finding it tiresome...to say the very least.

Anybody else want to take over running this game? The way I feel right about now, I can honestly say I'm pretty much 'done'.

I have seen many of the recent exchange boxes on LE have had issues (people holding them forever and saying they "got busy" or taking great stuff and putting junk in, etc...I don't know why, but it's a shame, these boxes used to be so much fun.

I really appreciate all of the people who coordinate these exchange boxes, I KNOW it's a ton of work and I seriously doubt I would ever even consider hosting one.

I don't know what happened here, but I am sorry to see you feeling like this for something that should be fun!
