Default COE 91?

I inherited some clear glass roda that was I was able to identify as Kugler. The company told me that it was produced in 1987 and is 91 COE. What other glass could I possible use with this COE? Anything? It is amazingly crystal clear. But, clear is just a little boring by itself you know?

Test it with other Kugler or other furnace cane such as Reichenbach. There should be some forgiveness. I don't know if I would encase with it, but stringer and dot decorations should be OK. It can't hurt to make some test beads.

If you have the right safety equipment fume it, clear does some amazing things when fumed with gold or silver. Or make a base bead of clear and then roll it in either silver, gold or palladium foil but don't melt it in, then encase with the clear again and you can make gold, silver or palladium beads for spacers or even as a focal bead.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try some BE and Kugler and see what happens.

Bullseye's 90 so it could be okay, couldn't hurt to do some experimenting since 90 COE is probably the closest you'll find to the 91 COE. The suggestion of making your spacers with the clear sounds like a good one...I'm not good at the use of leaf, but I do love the beads made with it.
