Default Oxyhydrogen water torch

Another something I've never seen before. I think that noise would get to me and it sure would bug my DH. But cool little flame.

I've looked into these before. There is a lot of information available to build/buy hydrogen generators. They're not complicated and work well. But you end up with huge power supplies.

I'd also be concerned about safety; although it is an on-demand system. I wish someone had more details on using this in a lampwork setting. Wouldn't want to ruin my torch either.....But very cool idea!

The torch being used is a premix welding torch. Flash back would be a bugger. For more info Google Brown's gas.

Ali might have some info on using a hydrogen torch. Being a scientific glass blower I'll bet she uses a Hydrogen torch often.

The u-tube video has been around for a long time.....

IF you need to know more, look up "browns gas" on internet.... Lots of discussion over on....

http://www.talkglass.com/forum/forum.php

You will have to search for either "hydrogen" or "browns gas"...

Opinion over there is its pretty much NOT practical for average glass blowers....

Guess you could get tanked hydrogen but cost may be astronomical...

Also electrical demands make it pretty expensive to operate in anything but a industrial/commercial studio setting...
