Pleading for help finding a tutorial
I KNOW I saw, and have somewhere, a tutorial called marble beads, either in print via book/magazine, or in a pdf or something.
It's a nicely put together tut.
It might be by Heather Trimlett or Jill Symons maybe?
I seem to remember they made hollows too, which is probably not much help.
I looked through all my lamp working books, my purchased tutorials, countless searches online (which I stink at) and even looked through my huge book of printed tutorials.
Which was a serious commitment, as that thing is as thick as my thigh, and I'm a chubby chick.
The tutorial is for making beads that look like swirly marbles, with thin black stripes on top of the colored stripes and gravity swirled on each end.
I can see the finished beads in my head and a couple steps but cannot remember the layering of dots.
Anyone know what I'm talking about and more important to my sanity, where to find it?
TIA,
Bubby

That's a really nice tut, I haven't seen it before.
Thanks for posting it, I bookmarked it for later.
Unfortunately it isn't it.
The one I saw is an older tut.
I found marble beads on Heather Trimlett's website and they look very much like what I remember was in the tut.
http://www.heathertrimlett.com/marbles/
Does anyone know if she shared her technique for these anywhere?
There's no mention of publications on her site that I saw to point me where to look.
This is driving me bonkers. Lol

First, thank you all for your help and replies.
It is absolutely driving me crazy. (obsessive much?)

Deb L,
I don't see anything about this tutorial online, have I mentioned my skills at searching are poor?
I'll keep looking.

Jaci,
I'm not hallucinating then, that's a relief.
Which means I may have to go through ALL my magazines.
I cannot even tell you how daunting that is.
*cough* magazine hoarder *cough*

Okay, I've been well informed and know it isn't a tutorial from Heather Trimlett.
Which puts me back at square one.
Time to take a couple other rabbit trails and hope I find it.

Ok, I'm reaching here, but do you have her book by James Kervin? The Brightly Colored Beads of Heather Trimlett? It may be in there...

Thank you Alli,
I don't have that book and was told she doesn't have a tut for these beads out there.
The marble bead tut I saw, the beads look very similar to hers though.
I'm going to go through all my magazines (ugh!) and see if I see it.
That's my last and final resort before I give it up.

Thank you for posting this Jennefer.
Not it but dang, Beau makes nice beads.
I'm racking up tuts in my bookmarks.

I still can't find this tutorial when I search.
I see the tut is out there but just keep getting lists of what was in soda lime times.
Anyway, I'm going to use this one today when I make beads.
After I finish looking through my magazines in case I find the exact tut I saw.
ETA: now I know how I saw it but could find it by searching.
The link is in my email. Duh.

Heather Sellers has a "Twisted Bead" tutorial in the Soda Lime Times publication of Hot Glass for Cool Kids. The link is to her blog and there is a picture of the beads in her ribbon at the top of the blog.

Thanks Ann, Hot Glass for Cool Kids looks like a great deal for all those tutorials and a great cause.
Heather Sellers makes some gorgeous and adorable beads!
I've been out of the loop too long.
