Oh, you mean the blowpipe I just sold to someone, lol! I'll try it with a 1/4" hollow mandrel and if it doesn't work well, I suppose I'll have to buy that blowpipe again. Figures, right?!

OMG why didn't I see that coming. Thank GOD I didn't buy it from you LOL! It was Ofilia. My friend Mike taught me how to do these blown pumpkins and you know what? I kinda forgot how. I would have to have a refresher course.

Elizabeth, yes it is.

This is from last year. It is living with someone already. I have not made these this year.

I have one of your beautiful pumpkins Larry. Love mine.

Yup. Thanks for that. As soon as the local pumpkin sales are over end of October I will have time to start using it. I think I will start off with hollow marbles and then maybe some Christmas ornaments.

Ok, I haven't looked at the videos yet 'cause I'm at work, but I have to say that ALL your pumpkins make my little pumpkin look cheap and trampy! Yours are ALL SO GORGEOUS, I feel like I should just give up lampworking and sell my glass, kiln, and torch, 'cause I don't feel like anything I make will EVER be that beautiful.

Hi Keewin,

Larry does several pumpkin patches and has a website.
I am the host of a glass pumpkin patch in Sonoma County. Here is a link to my website with information http://www.johnrizziglassworks.com/pumpkin_patch.html

You can find a link to Larry's website there too.

I hope you can make it.

John

Well I like your little pumpkin it is very sweet.
Funny thing for me I made those pumpkins two years ago and now when I try it seems like I have never made one before in my life. I need to get busy and practice practice practice lol.

Yeah, I saw that on your website and I know exactly where your pumpkin patch is going to be but I don't think I can make it. Larry's pumpkin patches are all more north of me, too.

Cynthia, please go to John's pumpkin patch and take pictures!!!

There is one that I found down here, in Hermosa Beach, Oct. 20 & 21.

Lyssa I don't think anyone has ever started off with perfect work. Your little pumpkin charm bead is very detailed considering how small it is. And I think it would be adorable on a themed bracelet of charm beads, either autumn or Halloween. I could see it matched up with ghosts, goblins and witches or fall vegetables and leaves.

I love all the pumpkins! John, love the orange one and that last green one...very cool.
Mine are just simple hollow beads. Some day I'll learn to make ones like all your beauties.

Okay, so since I put this thread in Tips and Techniques, for anyone who's made pumpkins using a lampwork-sized blowpipe or 1/4" mandrel, how about some tips

btw, I ordered the Carlo Dona small blowpipe, lol! Some stuff just should not be sold. This is the second Dona tool I sold that I re-bought
