Default Marver question,

I have an old torch-top marver, one of those designed with the riveted hose clamp. Well, as we all know, kinda poor design, as the rivet has loosened up, so the marver kinda swivels. Is there a fix for this? Will removing the graphite pad first mess up the threads in the graphite, so that I may rework the steel base and clamp? Hopefully someone here has modified this design successfully...

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Stacy

I recently discovered Arrow Springs manufactures the Osibin graphite formers. I bet they could help you fix it since they have the tools to work with graphite.
