There is plenty of each enamel to experiment with. It's a really good way to try them out and see what colours you like. I haven't used mine much because I absolutely hate wearing a respirator!

I just purchased these from Thompson and I believe they are about 1/2 an ounce each. This is if you purchase the SAMP-G set for $28.00 which contains samples of all of the Effetre compatible colors. Each color is in a small plastic baggie. There is plenty of enamel in each to make several bead sets.
Thompson also offers other sets for Effetre which I think comes in 2 ounce jars but they separate the opaques and the transparents and to buy all of those would be around $70.00.

Thanks. I've just orderd sample G from Thompson.
Is there any point to the enamel sifters listed on the Arrow Springs site?
http://www.arrowsprings.com/html/thompson_enamels.html
Wish they had an actual picture of one.

Now I have some ideas I want to put to work.

The sampler "baggies" have plenty to experiment with. . a little goes a long way and the sampler packs are a great way to try the colors, as already mentioned.

If I decide to sift it on rather than rolling it in it, can I just use a normal tea strainer type sieve?
Lisa, wearing two pairs of glasses and a respirator is going to be even more fun. Maybe I should break out the contacts again!

Wish I'd remembered to buy sifters when I ordered the enamel. Oh well. I'm sure I can jury rig up something (or look sad and pathetic until DH does).
Just word of warning for those in Australasia, the postage was almost as much as the sample pack (around 24.00). On the other hand that's what it cost them to post it so I can hardly hold them responsible for USPS charges.
The little baggies are a good size (5 x 7cm bags up the seal) so I think it's going to keep me happy and busy for a good long time. The range of colours opens up all kinds of interesting possibilities.

I got mine a while back but have yet to play! Think I will tomorrow, because I found a few clean baby food jars to put a few of the colors in. I can't find my watchmaker's case with the aluminum tins and clear lids! Darn!

I'm to NZ again on Sunday so it's probably going to be at least another 10 days before I get to torch again.
Can you say withdrawal symptoms?
