Looking for...
a medium smokey blue in 96.
In one of Jessica's grab bags I got three rods of the most beautiful smokey blue color. I'm about out, as in melting the teeny tiny shorts together to make "maybe" one half rod. It would appear Jessica isn't selling her archival glass any longer, and I can't find anything similar. I'm seriously bummed. Surely someone knows more about 96 colors than I do, soooo...speak up!!!

Yes, and I don't see what I want.
I ordered Steel Blue Uroboros; pretty color, but WAY darker than I'm looking for.

The tiny striations lead me to believe it could be one of Val's handpulled vieled Gaffer canes. It's probably the steel blue you bought layered through a lot of clear glass. So try taking that steel blue you bought and mixing it with some 96 clear to see if you can dilute the color saturation.

I think this is OLD glass because it came in a grab bag from Jessica, but if you think it's veiled and from Gail, I'll go peruse her site again.

Val Cox used to sell a lot of veiled cane, too. So ask both of them.

I think I have every color of Val's old handpulled, and I haven't seen that particular color. I looked in my stash, too. I think it's either Gail's or Michelle's (Caliente). I don't think Michelle is selling glass anymore.

It's tough to tell the exact color over the internet. Different cameras, different lighting, different monitors...blah...
But it's definitely a veiled cane. At least that narrows it down to those three suppliers!

I have a bunch of both Val's and Michelle's cane. I'll go check to see if I have anything that looks similar.

But it's THERE, and well, there ya go.
I ordered some from Jessica several years ago. I will see if I find anything of the sort in my stash... It's a gorgeous blue, kind of reminds me of CiMs leaky pen!

From the photo, it doesn't look like any of mine... Can you see a clear core? I bought some of Jessica's vintage stuff and never used it. If I can figure out where it is, I'll look and see if that's what it is!-Gail

No clear core that I can tell.
It's looks like an inner scratched rod of a light grey/medium blue combo. I'm getting more bummed with each passing moment.

It appears veiled to me, could be from a single run of veiled steel blue we did once, however your comments (in the pm) about chipped ends don't make sense, I we always had clean cut ends. (in any event, I don't have any of this color left)
I'm guess Gaffer glass 96coe Indigo/white:

aside from some tri-color lauscha-type rods, there really wasn't anything ''veiled'' in Jessica's 96 vintage glass--and I bought a LOT of her odd/grab bags--and constantly surfed her site when she was doing her ''penny deals''!! I'll check mine!

I'm assuming they're from Jessica's stash because the ends were chipped, and the rods were dirty. I also purchased some of Starleen Studios' huge lots of 96 COE, but most of everything in those bags of stuff was marked, and nothing had broken ends.
Oh, and Amy...
sure, you can have the shampoo glass. I made one bead outta' the green.

Gaffer also has a lovely steel blue but their color chart is terrible.

Ooh, what a gorgeous color! I just checked my stash of Jessica grab bag glass and didn't see any. There were a couple of rods of grey that had a bluish cast, but held up to the screen, your glass is definitely more aqua.
