Merry Christmas! This is what I posted on Face Book the other day. It is half ode to 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and half Dr. Suess and a lot of silliness. It was late after a marathon session of torching and I decided that my creativity still needed an outlet so I wrote a little poem.
'Twas the night before Christmas and all through Face Book, several creatures were stirring so let's take a look.
The trolls were all trolling to find a great find.
So busy scrolling such a devious mind.
They read many feeds and when one was just right, they sprout up like weeds to join in the fight.
The haters were holding to Face Book quite tight, hatefully hating whoever they might.
It brought them such glee, such total delight, saying I hate you all, I hate you tonight.
Nancy the narcissist, she was there too, posting selfies in dresses, of red, green and blue.
Her brother Norman loved himself most, carefully hidden in each thing he'd post.
Always quite subtle but screaming out loud, me myself and I, is his favorite crowd.
Dear sister rainbow and glittery bill, just keep posting cuteness they can't get their fill.
Unicorns, kittens and that type of stuff, though I love them all dearly, enough is enough.
The shy quiet person, the obnoxious and loud, the sad little emo and the one who's too proud.
The one who posts each, good noble cause or the one who points out everyones flaws.
The ones who seem shallow and those who seem deep, who will you unfriend and who will you keep?
We're all glass hustlers, and gangsters of art... you're all just like family let's not ever part.
The friends on my list that I have not met, perhaps we will in some future yet.
To those that I've met, we've hugged, laughed and cried, I call you my friend and I say it with pride.
If I could reach out, across every mile, I'd hug you and tell you how you made me smile.
Until we are together, again or at last, may your good times roll slowly and your bad times leave fast.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
May the glass in your kiln strike perfect and right!
