Default Need help with making a bead like a book!

Ok, I know this sounds insane, but one of my customers loves frog beads and is a teacher. I usually make my frog pendants on flat beads like lentils or pillows so they don't flip over when they are worn. She wants a 'back to school' frog, so I'm thinking a frog on a book? Anybody got ideas on making a kind of flat bead that looks like a book? An open book would be cooler, but that may be out of my sculptural range...
Thanks,
Martha

Maybe mash your bead into a rectangle shape, then use a razor tool on 3 edges to look like pages?

What about a frog hanging onto a pencil? That might be easier.

My customer suggested a pencil...not a bad idea, I guess I could make it round and sort of stubby. I like the book idea better, tho...guess I'll just have to mess around with it!

What about a frog on top of a red apple? Or a piece of chalk (you could etch just the "chalk" part of the bead)?

I made a book bead. I'll find i and take a pic. it's basically just a tile with white on 3 sides. Was really simple and turned out pretty cute.

Shawnett has good start. But on the white running around 3 sides make a cane using clear with white stripes pull fat, or more like a ribbon cane and use that so the stripes look like pages in a book. Then use the rod of color for the book cover and run a thin line around the cover and the back cover. Heat to melt in. Or you could heat the pages and push them in slightly so you get the ridge of the cover.

Good Luck, don't forget to post a picture -

I did that and used my blade to make the pages. It really looks like a little book.
