One of my favorites is to take a rod of clear, press the end into a paddle shape, and build up a blob of Effetre petroleum green on one side and a blob of CiM celadon on the other. I encase that with clear, pull with a very tight twist, and then cut it into half-inch sections. Laid onto a bead, marvered flat, and then raked down the center, it becomes the perfect water-weed for pond beads. Using other colors, it can become feathers instead.

My favorite was old EDP (whimper), a thin line of Intense Black and a thin line of dark turquoise or mosaic green. I build them on the end of a fat mandrel, like the ones for pandora beads...3/16? or 1/4". Big bullet shape of edp and stripe that. Twist like crazy all at once and hope my arms are long enough.
Pretty sure there is an old thread around with more twisty combos.

There are a lot of old twistie threads, including one on reactive twisties in the Patio. I stink at the search function or I would go find it.

Robin! That sounds like a cool idea. I should have to try it. I always use cane for mine, and I'm never happy enough with them.

And to add to this, a combo I got from Kim Affleck is gold ruby as the base, roll in silver foil or doubled silver leaf, thin lines of intense black and R108, melt in and twist/pull into cane about 2mm thick. The big hole bead in the other cane thread was made with this mix.
