Thanks Eric. I guess I could have been clearer about the Loch Ness. I just need ideas of sparkle colors.

Does anyone know if the sale requires purchase of a full pound or can you buy it 1/4 or 1/2 lb sizes as well?

Thanks,

Lloyd

Sparkle - clear with sparkle - Disco - you can layer it under or over other colors - then they have green sparkle, - and basically if it says sparkle it has the sparkles I think there were three on the sale list besides disco.

Carabean Coral - not equivilent but if you like this you would probably like Coral Blush - 1382

I have a couple different Silver Creek's - Purple Luster 386would be close to this
of Carmel Luster 388 if you want more orange purple

Butterscotch - Silver Strike 3
Pomegranate - Ruby Strike 4
Loch Ness - Neptune Sparkle
Silver Creek - Caramel Luster

Haven't used the other ones. I don't really use much of the Momka's colors.

Pomegranate ns 88 is close to Ruby Strike 4 for color - but the ruby strike 4 must have a little different chemistry as it does not do the same reactions in the same way as pomegranate does

so if you are using it for color - great
if you are using it for reactions - not so great

I prefer this ruby when doing the pinks using the GA warm yellow - the pink is easiers to get to and is more consistant

Can someone forward me the latest e-mail about the sale? I got it, but it's on my work computer and I won't be back there until Monday.

Hi All!

GA apologizes to those who didn't get the email. We don't really know what the issue is.

Here is the info though for those that missed it

Greetings Alchemists -

The Annual We Love Our Customers Sale is only days away. You have probably noticed that we have not posted any spreadsheet order forms this year. So how do you order?

This year we are thrilled to announce that the We Love Our Customers Sale will take place through the new Glass Alchemy Shopping Cart!

We have been working hard to get the shopping cart ready for this sale. Many of you have requested a way to order through our website and now it is possible! We think you will find the shopping cart a more enjoyable shopping experience.

What You Need To Know:
The sale starts at 9am Pacific Time on Saturday, February 14th and runs through March 31.
The Occasional Quality Glass and Clearance Items will come on-line at the start of the sale and will be sold in 1lb bundles.
If it is 9am Pacific Time and you do not see the Occasional Quality Glass and Clearance Items on the navigation bar try refreshing your browser.
There is a bonus gift for all orders over $250.
To access the shopping cart, click "Shopping Cart" on the Glass Alchemy homepage.
This year no orders will be taken via fax.
Shopping Cart payment options include Visa, Master Card and Discover.
What if you don't have access to the internet? You can call Glass Alchemy with your order. If you place your order over the phone, we will be taking calls in the order they are received and will be creating a customer profile for you in the shopping cart.
We recommend you place your order via the shopping cart to help expedite your order. If you call, your order will be placed in the order it is received.
There will be a Deal of the Week starting each Friday. The Deal of the Week will be an extra low price on items already on sale.
If you have questions about the shopping cart, please send an email to: alchemist@glassalchemy.com
Below you will find a list of our Occasional Quality (OCQ) sale items and Clearance items to help you get ready to shop and save.
To speed up the check out process, visit the shopping cart before the sale and create your customer account.

New Glass Alchemy Items
As you are getting ready to stock up on Occasional Quality glass and Clearance Items, we wanted to make sure you checked out these cool new products that are already up and running in the Shopping Cart:
Blue Galaxy is one of the newest Revolution 33 colors. This is a new super sparkle Glass Alchemy color that has eliminated the cracking of traditional aventurines.
Big Bang is one of the newest Revolution 33 colors. This color is a cousin of Blue Galaxy with a lighter sprinkling of sparkle that fades the longer it is worked. The final color depends on how long and in what torch atmosphere you work the rod.
Ivory Blush is back by popular demand.
New Black & White Tailor Made Tube™ patterns.
Limited Edition Tailor Made Tubes™.
New T-Shirts, Long Sleeve T-Shirts, Hoodies and Zip Hoodies in our Apparel section.
Sale prices on Full Rod and Frit Sample Packs.
New Glass Alchemy stickers will be included in all We Love Our Customers Sale orders.

We Love Our Customers Sale Items

Occasional Quality Glass - Sold in 1lb bundles
In order to help you out in these tough economic times, Glass Alchemy has decided to raise the quality of our Occasional glass by combining it with our Out of Tolerance glass (which is high quality glass, falling short of first quality standards due to varying diameter and length). This new Glass Alchemy offering is called Occasional Quality Glass (OCQ) and we believe we are providing you with a better product, extending the value of your dollar.

Me-thinks they didn't accurately evaluate the load on the servers. The website is now down... And I can't find their phone number to try to call....

I called and they have someone working on it. Won't take phone orders while it's down. They will send out an email when it's up again.

Well, it's "back", but still not functional. Just has the same splash it had 3 hours ago.

Well, as an IT person, I can tell you that they're scrambling right now. I'm sure who ever sold them their servers gave them a line of crap about how it would handle any amount of user load. And they bought it hook, line, and sinker.

And really, there's no way to accurately test the system for this kind of user load.

So I was pretty sure this wasn't going to be painless and "a pleasant experience".

I finally found their phone number. Went directly to voice mail. You can leave a message and once they're taking orders they'll call back in the order in which they were received.

Well I am out until the website comes up. I just like to order that way and see it all in on place! Maybe they should get a ZenCart like we have at Flamedame. Never crashes....
