Default Do you use a propane heater in your garage studio?

Hi everyone! I'm wondering if anyone out there uses a propane heater in their studio? What do you think of it?

It's been suggested to me several times, because of the cost of electric heaters, and I don't know if I want to add a fuel-burning heater out there. Right now my garage/studio is unfinished and we are having unusual cold temps. My ventilation is adequate for the torch area, but I do work at the other end about half the time. I was thinking of adding IR just to keep *me* warm enough to work, but a little more heat than that would be sooo nice.

Any suggestions anyone? Thanks!

I tried several heating scemes here and even though the temps are not that severe I gave up on 'space' heaters. Unless your vent system is designed to minimize sucking room air out it is a waste of energy. I now use an electric radiant heater and it works fine; not a total solution but adequate. I believe there are radiant heaters powered by propane so you may want to check them out if energy costs are your main concern.

Thanks, I was hoping someone had done the same thing I was about to do I'm gonna stick with my decision to use IR.
