I'm looking for a shark tooth tut. Or examples of one. Anyone ever make one? I want to make one for dh but I'd love to see some before I try it. Colors used, etc....

Thanks a ton!!!

I have a mold I made from a megaladon (sp?) shark tooth. I fuse glass in it...since it is so large. Hmmm....maybe I need to get a smaller sharks tooth.

I have made shark teeth using a combination of dark ivory and amber for the "bone part" with light ivory on the "tooth". Using pliers on the edges of the tooth helps to make it look serrated. I also etch the "bone" part and leave the tooth shiny. Sorry I don't have a picture right now.

Hope this is reasonably clear,

Petra

Thanks Petra, that helps a lot. I tried one with a grey top and ivory tooth part and didn't really like it. I'll try again though =)
Madnesser, that tooth is huge! Nice to see it though =)

I used ivory to make one for my son. I cooked the cr*p out of it to give the lovely caramel striations - he loves it.
