Default Suggestions for cane usage?

I love making pretty cane, but other than florals, how do you use it? I am more of a melt-it-all-in girl, so struggle with how to use encased canes. Any and all suggestions welcome!

If you make the background bead from one of the twistie colors (preferably only 2-3 colors) it can look cool just wrapped on and melted in, because the background color blends with the background, and looks like you did some tricky stringer work sometimes, LOL. (See the "leaves" on the purple bead)

For BOC I use shorts to make caterpillars, just add eyes, etc.

Also if you make disc beads a twistie makes a nice finish or even inner layer.

I love to apply a cane on the hemisphere of a disc and encase, melt in. Will post pic when I'm back home.

Finally home again, here's the best usage of cane I think I've ever made.

Thank you, I thought it might give the child who got it a kick to see the caterpillar was eating a leaf
