Default Correct PSI settings for Wale's Firebird

What are they? (Propane and oxy from a tank.) I can't find any guidance on Wale's website. I suppose I'll have to phone them tomorrow.

Thanks for your advice! (I am awaiting repair and/or replacement of my beloved MiniCC, and stuck with the Firebird for the interim....)

Typically a surface mix torch will operate well with 2-5 psi of propane and 4-10 psi of oxygen... There is really a lot of latitude in these settings so you can experiment a bit to find best flame... Usually working soft glass (soda lime) your oxygen pressure is about twice that of the propane... For borosilicate glass oxygen is about 3x that of propane.

Thanks, Dale, for the rule of thumb. I was wondering if the Firebird had new rules.

I know there are folks who love the Firebird, but I just can't get in its corner. But as a spare, I guess it's okay. (Always could dust off the ancient Minor, I guess.)
