Default Got to work with a water-cooled Beth!

Last week, I got the opportunity to work on one of those torches. It was really nice. Definitely heavy-duty! I'd say that my GTT Cheetah running on two concentrators provides a hotter and more intense flame. But, the Beth had a MUCH bigger flame. The bigger flame made blow work a LOT faster. Because of the larger flame, blown work was nice and easy because of the even heating. I want one! I think I'd prefer a Delta though .

I learned on an OLD watercooled beth before GTTs were on the market. At that point the beth or a herbie were the only game in town for a GOOD torch. And herbies were pretty hard to come by back then. I would take a delta or delta mag over a beth OR herbie any day. NO water and still it runs cooler!

A friend of mine uses a water cooled PM2D. I really like it. I just about got one before I got my Tiger Shark. I would have bought a GTT, but that's a story for another thread...

There is a water cool system available for the Great White now. I'll probably stick to the normal Great White without it.... but for some, it may be a nice fit. The new system pulls 80% of the heat our of the torch body. Not bad.

If their customer service was better, I'd own a GTT too. As it is, I'm sticking with Bethlehems.

Someday I hope to see one of those torches. *sigh* I think I have torch envy.
