Default Decals & glass paints for boro

Hey folks,
I am trying to find a source for kiln fired custom decals for boro glass wear. I am also seeking a source for kiln fired paints to be used on boro.

Thanks...appreciate the wisdom out there

Lisa

Here is a source for decals:
http://www.abrimagery.com/store/adva...6dcf77&x=0&y=0

I have wondered if the paints used on soft glass can be used on Boro. Bullseye Glass sure needs all the support we can give it.

http://shop.bullseyeglass.com/tools-...ne-paints.html they also have decals.

I get almost all my decals from AAE Glass. I haven't tested on Boro but can, if you like. She has High Fire Decals.

The firing, fusing temps on the decals and the Glassline paints I have are 800 to 1400 degrees ... the question is will they hold up or crack from differences in expansion.

Why? Most soft glass decals fire around 1000F well below fusing temp.

These guys are advertising on talkglass.com

http://www.hendrixsonglassdecals.com/

I have never used them so I have no experience with them. But may be worth looking into.

I will be using these guys when I get my Photoshop file completed for my decals I want. I have no experience with them, however:

They come on a paper backing, you soak them in warm water until
they are loose from the backing then apply to the glass by sliding it off the paper and on to your project, smooth them out so there are no
air bubbles under the decal as they will burst and ruin your project. You can use a small squeegee for smoothing or a soft wet cloth or tissue paper but be gentle.
Check with the decal company and see if they sell a squeegee for that purpose.

Ceramic Cone 022 is around 1000 degrees

My Grandfather and Great Uncle worked at Whital Tatum Co. It is now called Wheaton Village
