Good morning. I'm generally a quiet lurker. I've been playing with making glass shank buttons as I am also a spinner and knitter. It's quite scary posting here with all you experts, but here we go. The second one has too many bubbles, but I like it anyway. I had a hard time photographing these. Finally found they fit perfectly in a kiln post LOL!

Thanks for posting Miss P don't be shy we all love pics of glass stuff no matter what the skill level. Hey Rodger looks like your ready, I am so jealous of you taking lessons from John. Pipyr so glad you back posting in this room, love your stuff. I would like to practice my sculpture, maybe next year, this year it's implosions and blown pieces for me.

Here is a small sculptural I did, it is a prototype for a custom order. Someone asked me to do a "Fairy Wand" for his sister. So this is my first impression of a Fairy wand. It is 14 inches long.

Default Jellyfish tutorial

I just finished a tutorial for this pendant. I made a pdf file for it, but a bunch of the pics are cut off. I am not computer savvy enough to figure out how link it to LE. ...Sooo, If you would like a copy of the tut, just PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send it to you.

glad to see everyone's been going great guns while I've been away
Just returned a couple of weeks ago from a teaching round in Turkey and Europe. Turkey was fantastic fun!!! 4 international glassblowers were invited to the Denizli glass festival, Julie Ann Denton (Swiz), Sally Carver (UK), Lucio Bubacco (It) and humble me (Aus) to demonstrate in public, give conference talks and teach. It was such a joy to see the HUGE interest that people showed in lampworking!!!!
It's taken me a little while to get back into the swing of things after 5 weeks of Turkey, Germany and Netherlands and meeting so many great people! Marcel Rensmaag in the Netherlands is someone you're going to want to watch out for, I have a feeling some really great things will come from his torch in the future!
So here's some pics of work i've been playing with since our return to the cold that prevails in Australia atm. I wish I was back in warmer climes. For some reason serpents have taken my fancy of late

I agree that some great things are going to come from Marcel's torch, I met him in Vancouver (on my birthday last year) and watched him demo an implosion that helped me lots in what I am doing this year.
Love your serpents by the way.
