Just wanted to let you all know about an experiment I'm trying. I had my local printer guy print a gradient sheet (I found the PDF on the web) on the same heavyweight banner vinyl he used for my banner. It should last longer and be a little sturdier and last a little longer. Mine at about 1 ft. x 1.5 ft. cost me $18 plus tax.
Here's a shot using it:
If you want to get one his name is Jon Robertson, the shop is called ProColor, and it's in Los Gatos, CA. Just tell him I sent you. The file is large enough that you could have it printed on 2' x 3' vinyl if you wanted, for larger items. I wanted to be able to fit mine inside of my soft box.

And no, he didn't pay me to do this, I just wanted to send his small shop some business if I could.
I've taken hanging shots like this with it, as well as shots of jewelry lying on it (see my blog), and it works great.
