Torch mounted marver

I'm considering get to g a torch mounted marver. I work with a Bethlehem alpha. Need some opinions....
What are the advantages of the thick vs thin marvers?

What about flat vs L shaped?
What about size?

Any particular brands for this torch?

Why is there such a price variation for what looks like similar markets?
I've seen anywhere from $39 to $70.

Does anyone have a YouTube link for some good demos?
