Inspiration thread!!!!
I frequently leaf through a new magazine or catalog, etc. and yank out a page, either as a color or shape inspiration. After seeing the stack growing, I kind of made a new resolution this week to actually assign myself the task of taking a sheet a day, and coming up with a new bead based on the inspiration. This is the one I did yesterday, a pretty literal interpretation this time, wouldn't always be necessary to be so literal...what do you think? Want to play? Show your inspiration piece and show your interpretation...might lead to happy new styles!

Oh, Lea - what a great idea! And what an adorable bead! It's super cute...you captured it wonderfully!
Now here's one from me...not quite so cute though, I'm afraid!  It's kinda weird (yeah, I know YOU know!  ) where my inspiration comes from...but after seeing a cute shark bead posted in Gallery by Anastasia last year, I was inspired to dig out my copy of "Jaws". Of course, after that, this just seemed inevitable.  I'm sure you'll all recall the infamous book cover...

Polgarra, you too! Give it a go, it's a good discipline to get into -- especially on those days where you might be struggling for a new direction!

I have pages and pages of inspiration ripped from magazines. I keep ripping out the pages, but never do anything with them. I'll play! It will get me moving.

This USPS stamp was the inspiration for this bead.
I have the image affixed to my ventilation pipe, and was inspired to try it one day!

Ooooooh, Joanne, just so beautiful!!!! The flowers in the first and the tree & hills in the second are soooooooooooooooooo perfect. Love your interpretation! Thanks for jumping in, what's next for you???? (I've got mine for tomorrow picked out!!!)

Here's a set inspired by the stack of pillows in cool colors!
