Starting from scratch...
I finally got hubby's permission to bring the studio inside. I have the torch, the oxy con, the hoses, the regulator. I'm going to pull out the useless wetbar we have along one wall.
I'm looking at purchasing this workbench...

What do you think? What would you do with this as far as modifying it for a torching table?

Those who restrain desire do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained.

Ooh, I can't wait to read the replies. I bookmarked this site just last night and am looking at the same bench! I like that it is 30" deep rather than 24", like most of the other off-the-shelf workbenches I've found. Great minds think alike, I guess.

I purchased my bench at IKEA - it's part of their kitchen series UDDEN and it works like a charm! check out www.ikea.ca/udden - I got the console one. IKEA does ship if it's not in your area, and it's a solid stainless top with enamel coated legs that adjust, and you can buy shelves and doors if you like.

Oh! I love these...

I've been looking around for some sort of units with drawers that I could attach casters to that I could slide in and out from under my workbench, so I can have a bit more tabletop surface to the side of me when I want or need it. Everything I've found so far has been too tall. These are a little under 25" tall so even with a little countertop and casters affixed they would slide under the workbench. Cool beans! Thanks for the linkage!

i got plastic 3 drawer units from Target that are perfect!! They are on casters and fit right under my table so I can put them away when I am done. I roll them out when I start my torching day and I can put stuff on top of them!! I think they are made by 'Sterling" or something. $25 or so apiece? Maybe even less.....
