I am curious why you are trying to keep your kiln door propped open? What am I missing?

Hi Katherine,
Don't prop kiln door open really, just want it to stay up temporarily when adding a newly made bead at torch.

Helpful to not have to use both hands at same time (one holding mandel w hot bead on it & other hand trying to keep kiln door up to place bead where u want it.... For me, I use a rack inside kiln.

Probably more of an issue for lamp workers who work closer to kiln and reach over to place bead in....while still close proximity to flame?

Thanks Bellagirl - I was thinking people were actually keeping their kiln open while torching LOL

Thanks crazydays!

Looking back, I would make a few changes. For example, some of the frit shelves are not lined up well with the PVC with lampwork rods in them, so have to "rangle" them out!
