Lightning bead
ive wanted to try drawing lightning on a cubeish bead for awhile now and have failed every time i attempt it my thoughts now is to try and make a very very VERY thin stringer for minor effects while useing 2mm/1.5mm for the base and 1mm for the branches any other suggestions?
ive been useing tuxedo black for the base and a light blue striking rod (i dont know the full name i just know it does not stay blue as it will true redish)

Have not tried it, but how about trying to rake the glass to the lightning points with a raking tool or a razor blade?

What kind of lightning? The zig-zag, cartoony kind or the squiggly line type, like real lightning?

I was thinking about lightning too. I like how intense black breaks up on ivory/yellow. It has that jaggy lightning look. is there any light color that does that?

Use heavily silvered ivory stringer (or Opal Yellow) and heat the snot out of it. (Leaf, not foil, but 2 layers of the thin stuff or 1 layer of heavy leaf. Foil doesn't work as well)

I wonder if It would work if you work in 's' squiggles then take a razor and crisped up the corners. Dark silver plum might work well for this. (And is nice and dense when thin, but also very soft)
