Free Tutorial: Bails Made Easy
This is my first tutorial and I want to share it with the community.
Creating bails doesn't have to be difficult and there are several ways you can do them. Explore the various methods and find which is right for you. This document then goes into more detail on the pierced method using a specialized tool made specifically for this purpose.
You can download the PDF tutorial, Bails Made Easy at:
http://www.fultra.net/pp/BailsMadeEasy3.pdf

Thanks Thanks i've been using Peters Tweezers to make mine for awhile now but they tend to bend after multiple uses and then they don't line up. These look like you could get alot of uses out of them since they are way heavier.

Thanks for the tutorial Chris. I liked the look of the Pokie Pliers & they are quite reasonable but the postage at $45 is a little steep.
Anyone know where else they can be bought?

It is very easy to make your own. Find a pair of long nose pliers like in the tutorial picture. Then use your lampworking torch (used a Cricket) and heat up red hot where you want to bend in the tips. For some pliers you may need to make a double bend to have the bent tips at 90 degrees.
Yes one would agree that postage at $45 is out of line. It is also interesting that fultra.net chooses to NOT disclose their mailing address, location or contact phone number. A huge red flag when it comes to net purchases.

There was a bug in the software that wouldn't allow international packages to choose the best rate even though it was displayed correctly. Its fixed now.
Shipping to Australia is $6.28. Thanks!

My info
Alaska
I understand that there is always reason for concern and to be cautious when purchasing over the internet. This is my first tutorial and I didn't know that I should have included my personal contact information.
My username on ebay is buckey29 where I have 100% feedback, I've been a Paypal verified user for 9 years and I'm an active member in ISLAGA. I hope that helps.

Thanks Mary Beth.
I thought I might have a go myself but if the shipping to Oz in only $6.28 it won't break the bank to Ireland either.

The concern is not with contact information in regard to the tutorial. We all appreciate the time and effort to produce something that is of no cost to the end user.
The point in regard to your answer, is that your WEBSITE site is missing this information. It is good seller policy to include all contact information on your website. As it now is, no one even knows what country your are from, etc.
The overall idea is to use the contact page to list this important information. Then viewers will have more confidence in your online store.

Post some pix of what you make with these. I started piercing the lobe of the boro hearts with these instead of making a bail on top. It works pretty well. I also played around with a large round (think donut shape) pendant and used these to start the hole in the center and then reamed it out.
