Default Getting a GTT for a friend and need advice

I'm getting my friend a torch. I know he wants a GTT but I don't know much about torches. I know he is just getting started but hopes to spend many hours with his new hobby. He has worked on a Lynx but is wondering if he should get something a bit more complex for the future. I know he has limited space so he doesn't have room for a bunch of torches. What would you get him assuming you had a budget of around $1200 to $2000.

Ok its for me but the friend thing sounded more interesting.

I liked the Phantom I used in a class at Flame Tree in Georgia but have no experience with other torches of that general type so can't compare.

He will need tanked oxygen for a torch bigger than a Lynx, so hopefully that is what he plans to use. Phantom is a good choice. Has he got ventilation?

He is planning on setting up a place in his garage and is currently working out the ventilation.

That's good. It is often overlooked. I know a lot of people try to go as cheaply as they can, usually to their long term detriment and frustration.
