Default Q for Mike at Frantz

Do you have any reports of compatibility issues with navy (12/13 release) and super clear? I'm getting consistent instability that has me pretty bummed. I love the color, but not getting good results. Laura

I have heard of no problems. When you use the word instability you are referring to compatible problems?

Before laying the navy blue on the mandrel, put a layer about 1/8 of an inch of clear first, then the navy blue and then the clear.....it might help.

Mike, I make the same style of bead in many colors with the super clear and haven't had this problem before. It's cracking down the mandrel line when I remove it from the mandrel. Crack isn't there before I pull it. I will give your suggestion a try and see if it helps. Laura

Crack down the mandrel usually indicates a heat/shock problem. Maybe the viscosity of the navy is such that it loses its heat while you are encasing?
