Default Connecting two Oxy Concentrators

My concentrator arrived and it is in excellent but used condition.
Do you use a Y connector to join the two oxy lines, then to the torch?
I tried researching but couldn't find how.
Thanks,

Katie

are your concentrators putting out the same pressure (same make and model)? If so, you can just use a simple Y fitting to join the output of each into one line that then goes to your torch. They are easy to find, but if you just want to get the right one with no hassle, Arrow Springs has this stuff.

Everything you need is easily available at Lowes. Basically just some clear tubing and a plastic T connector.

If you search my posts you can see how to do it with pix - I show my holding tank and three oxy cons...

It's easy!

This is a Lowe's or Home Depot plastic 1/4 inch (to fit 1/4 inch ID tube) T connector for two concentrators. Brass will also work, but is more costly. A Y will also work, but may be harder to locate.

The red arrows are check valves. Many concentrators already have one in the output so these may not be necessary.

As previously stated, both units must have the same output pressure. The most common outputs for medical type concentrators are 5 PSI or 10 PSI. The machines do not have to be of the same brand or model. The important point is the output PSI.

Can I get a hose that fits over my existing hose fitting to do this? I don't really want to cut my fitting off. or use rubber hose?

Would you explain what your "existing hose fitting" is? Are you referring to the concentrator or torch side?

Many oxygen concentrators have a plastic screw on connector that can be replaced with a standard brass welding threaded hose connector as pictured.

That is the information I needed. Both are 5 PSI, so no problem there, and I should be able to get the tubing etc in the city.
The pictures really help.
Thank you all, people are very helpful on LE. I had no luck searching the internet.

The torch hose side, not the concentrator. Currently I have a brass fitting at the end of my hoses, it is hexagonal with threading on the inside, it (female connection). On the concentrator I have a fitting that it screws into perfectly(male connection), but I have the fitting that is a stacked cone for the concentrator that tubbing would fit onto in any size. I just really dont want to cut off the brass fitting on the end of my hose.

DO IT !!!
HAHAHA !

Seriously, my hoses are cut in 6 places to attach to my foot pedal.

As a secondary choice, you can buy 12 foot hoses cheap from
Ron Bearer at Art Glass House and cut them:

12 foot hoses

They are great quality, Goodyear is what we received, and you can't
beat his price.

Assume that your hose has ends as pictured.

And the torch has a taped brass barbed connected that will the hose will side on to. Most of these are for 1/4 inch ID hose. Check your torch manual and see what the manufacture recommends for hose ID.

You can get a coupling plus a threaded barbed connector so that the ends do not have to be cut off. However, one will still need a short length of hose to connect to the torch.

As suggest, "cut the connector off the end of the hose" and go on with life!

Note that it is important to get "T" grade hose for the fuel side as propane in a non "T" rated red hose will cause degradation issues.
