Default Fumed Shot Glass

I was thinking of making a couple of shot glasses for my father in law for christmas presents and am if anyone has done these and how do they(gold/silver fume) look with liquor in them(i.e. Whiskey,Brandy,Tequila etc. the amber colors).

I was thinking of fuming the outside and doing just some random ornate line work with clear stringer.

Sounds interesting, just make sure the fume is on the outside, encased or both. As for how the fume will look, the best way to find out is experimentation.

I'd be worried that the amber liquors generally aren't dark enough to make the fume really pop. Maybe if you did a darker-colored blow-in or even sleeve work. Because that would rock.

I would just try it and see. I would keep it subtle and it might be nice. Maybe just some light wispy silver would be cool. Cant wait to see a pic.
