Default Blowing bubbles

I just finished putting in a new vent fan and was messin around with a piece of tube trying to see how big a bubble I could make. I didn't have alot of time but got a 3 inch bubble with 15 mil heavy wall tube. I didn't think that was to bad with a cricket.

So what's the biggest you've blown?

largest tubing I have worked is 5 inches in diameter, in a lathe. I used to make glass ships for fun and then make the bottle around them on the lathe, used to freak folks out trying to figure out how I did that one.

one day i decided to see how big a bubble i could blow. from gathering off of 25x4, it was easily 3' in diameter and tissue paper thin.
getting rid of it was a pain in the ass.

I heated about three inches to get it that big. I wanted bigger but the tube was getting to sloppy.

Boats in a bottle sound good. Might have to try that when I get some bigger tube.

Yup, gotta watch the floaties when glass gets that thin. Just as bad as breathing dust.
