Default If you could have just 10 colors

what would they be? What do you consider your fallback, must have, absolute necessecity glass colors? The ones you simply cannot live without.

Let's exclude black, white, and clear as they don't really count as "color" per se and are pretty much a required basic for any stash.

I bought some small starter packs and then took a long sebatical. Now that I am back at the torch, I need to outfit my space with some glass and build up my stash. Shopping spree!

There are so many more glass manufacturers now it is overwhelming deciding where to start. I thought it might give me some good ideas to see what colors everyone else thinks are the "must haves".

So let's hear them. What are your top 10?
(please include the manufacturer and/or number when you list them too )

As someone with limited glass. On top of black white and clear I would have to have

Copper green
Opal yellow
Rubino
Periwinkle
medium red
sunshine yellow (or another sunny yellow)
Raku frit
Psyche
Grass green
Med Amethyst.

I use these colours most anyway...even now.

With the addition of copper and silver leaf, fine silver wire. you can use these to make lots of spectacular beads.

it's fun seeing what everyone picks as their top 10. I am seeing some definite overlap too. Keep them coming!

Beginner here, so I haven't tried most of the fancier colours yet, but based on what I've been doing recently...

(All Effetre)
Dark ivory
Turquoise
Coral
Anise white
Pastel yellow
Transparent grass green
Petrol green
Lime green
Cobalt or ink blue
Opaque purple

That's really cutting it down! I'd also want a transparent purple, some light transparents and a red.

what I find most amusing is that some of these top 10s are also in the ugly color thread I was reading a couple days back. just goes to show that beauty is in the eye of the beholder lol.
