Default Thoughts on a 2 gallon Propane tank????

I am thinking about switching to a 2 gallon tank. ( for a few reasons...) and thought it would be a good idea to post here first and see if there are any comments on the pros and cons... OK the most obvious is that I will run out of propane sooner..

But it will be lighter and easier for me to carry...so...any other comments regarding my possible switch...

thanks in advance

The thing with small tanks (less than 5gal/20pound) is that at most fill stations there is a minimum charge and it usually covers a 5 gallon tank... So you may pay for 5 gallons but only get 2....

LOL well I just never thought about looking for it cuz I thought it was to esoteric.

but thanks for the response I will call my local mechanic who also gives me propane and see what he thinks...

BTW all I got Rx AUR's from Mike...it was the best thing I ever did for my lampworking! Thanks Mike!

Dale...thanks for all of your technical info....greatly appreciated...

addendum
I just called my mechanic... I drive a 1991 Honda Acord EX wagon so I have a great mechanic and they also sell me my propane... I asked them and they said NO PROBLEM! When one drives an old car you need a great (and honest) mechanic. I was very happy to have found one here! Thanks all!

Get a couple of those tanks to have on hand. That way, when you run out, you just have to switch tanks instead of going out and getting more. If they are easy enough to carry, then you can just refill the empty one at your convenience.
