Default Boro Frits

Is there anyone you know of that sells sample packs of the Frits? I'm not sure what colors I am going to like yet, and would like to try a variety of them. Do any of you have any particular ones that you " couldn't live without"?
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Renee

Angela Kane's Hippie Chick is to die for. Angela does frit mixes/blends.

If you are looking for sample size of solid colors. I might be able to help with any Momka you are interested in and Phyllis at Trev's Glass can usually help with other solid colors you might like.

Thanks for posting the link and the nice words, Angie & Laura! Renee, I have a sampler pack, which is your choice of any 3 single ounce blends that I have. It's a great way to try them to see what you like.

Laura's blends (Magpie Glassworx) are beautiful and they're easy to get beautiful results. And her Momka frit is fantastic!

They are both really costly to get started with playing with just a bit.

But they are available and are great ... I have the GA one. Every frit they make in three grind sizes ... about a half tsp in each bag.

Thank you Angela for the nice words on my blends.

I can and will make sample bags of Momka frits for anyone interested ... I just don't offer them in my etsy.

Phyllis (Sunray on LE) of Trev's Glass will do the same with at least NS colors.

Mtnlaurel:

Frits I can't live without:

Clear ... it's great layered over other colors and can give cool effects
GA Triple Passion
GA Silver Strike 5
GA Amazon Jewel
NS Egyptian White Sand
NS Silver Creek (when available)

I have several other go to colors that I make for myself because the glass manufacturer doesn't offer them for sale. Mostly NS colors.

It really depends what you are looking for. If you like color reactions ... I can give you a big list.

Angela at Hot Flash Frit is partial to Momka Stormy Weather and Momka Purple Thunder. Which are both fun colors.

Frits I can't live without - pretty much all of them!

But seriously, like Laura said, I LOVE Momka's Purple Thunder and Invictus (both in rod and frit). My other favorites are GA's Peacock Chameleon, NS Blue Moon, NS Silver Creek, NS Amber Purple or GA Triple Passion, NS Irrid, and plain ol' clear.
