Default The walls went up today!

It's been so long that I can't even find my first thread but the walls went up today. My dh has made the foundation and built the walls over the last couple months. Today with my son's help and the help of my daughter's boyfriend the walls went up. The roofing goes on tomorrow and so does the siding. I am feeling more than a little spoiled today. See my porch!?

Thanks guys. It is really cute. I'm painting today and just got home from getting my door. The only hitch today, a big one, the windows didn't fit so we had to order new ones.

Me either. The siding is up now and the front door but the windows won't be in for a while.

These types of studios remind me of the little houses I always wanted as a kid. Remember those? Like a little playhouse.
Your studio is going to look awesome when It's done. Thanks for sharing. I love looking at stuff like this in progress up till the finished product.
Do you like working outside of the home better? I'm not sure I'd be motivated if I had to go into a separate building if that makes sense.

Oh Patricia that is so adorable! you lucky bugger! I get to pack up and set up every day, which wastes valuable torch time!

Your DH will have to bring your meals out for you!

I get the 4th bedroom of our new house decked out - but I think I'd rather have what you're getting!

Thanks guys! It is cute isn't it. The front door and windows are in and the siding is half up. I need to take another picture. The weather and the flu have kepts things from moving along but I'm still happy. That little cottage is really cute Karen. I though about buying something but that did not make my dh happy. I am a lucky girl. Irene I am a little worried about being motivated to out out to another building, especially after dark. I am such a chicken but I have a 95 pound lab who is more than willing to keep me company. My dh is ready to get me out of the house so he can have an office.

What a cute building and with a porch too! I'm just picturing how nice it would be to relax on the porch with a cup of coffee in between making beads. Keep up the posts!

I am so happy with the way this is turning out. Here is an updated picture. Porch and painting are all that are left for the outside. Then to the inside!
No the building isn't lopsided, lol. I think I was when I took this.

Thanks guys! It still needs to be painted. I have a darker grey for the siding and a pale grey for the trim. It's 12' x 14' inside.

So cute! I wanted something all my own so badly. Obviously I was glad to take any space available, but I love yours. Enjoy.
