Default Why can't I find orange?

I know Effetre and/or Vetrofond had a plain opaque orange, but I can't find it on the Frantz site. Anyone know why? I suppose I could look elsewhere, but I'd rather buy all my glass from the same place. =/
Thanks, Patti

The number for Orange opaque is 591422. I know what you mean about getting all your glass in the same place but it looks like Frantz only has stringers.

Yup, superb oranges from CIM. The only really good oranges from Effetre are some of the coral variations. The regular special orange is only so-so, IMO.

I love the corals, too...and CIM is great, but it's more transparent-ish. At least I know clockwork is transparent-ish. I say "transparent-ish" because it's kind of a combo between transparent and opaque. I need a really opaque orange. I use it for my sugar skulls. =)
Thanks for your help. I'll try Flametree. ::still wondering why Frantz doesn't have it???:::

Try CIM Creamsicle (loooove it!) or, for a tonal orange, Pumpkin lives up to its name, and Phoenix leans more to the reddish side.

Vetro has arancia perfecta, which starts out translucent but will go opaque the longer you work it.

They don't make as much glass as the Italian companies do. They aren't a really big company.

You might need to anneal the Creamsicle before you use it, and pre-heat it on the top of the kiln while you're at it. I bought some and while the colour is absolutely delicious, it's frit on a stick all the way. After a few annealing cycles and pre-heating it works fine and is worth the effort.

This color has changed over the years. However you can mix your old style 422 by using pastel carrot red, and electric yellow/bright yellow/acid yellow (the really bright pastel one) 1/2 and 1/2 gets you the old color 422. Its awesome!
