Beautiful piece. After 7+ years of lampworking, I've come to the conclusion that all I really want to make are spiral disc beads. They make me happy.

It would probably take me seven years to make those VAL.
I like your clean rotation on your air trap D. That's something I need to work on.
I posted this in the newbie section also. It's my first attempt at sculpture (hey, it's two pieces, let me have that).

Thanks. I wasn't so lucky last night. I had one pendant that lived. I'll try to get a picture later.

Is that one color hit oxy/reduc or two colors in your air trap Dave? Either way, What color(s).

It's GA aquatic carnival. It kind of ranges between those two colors.

I definitely like it. I have some of that frit, but haven't used it yet. This was my only survivor from last night. I wasn't sure what colors I was using, so I didn't know what to expect. I'm going to try my hand at some marbles this weekend. I haven't had much luck with that. Yet

I am making marbles this weekend too! They will be small pocket marbles in a variety of colours. Hope they are round. lol.

Even though I made mistakes on this I'm happy with it. I've never gotten that much green out of the fuming. I couldn't seem to keep it off the floor and it's got grabber marks, but I'm learning. It's my sixth marble. My seventh is in the kiln now. Hopefully I'll have something better to wake up to.

I'm way happier with the shape of this one. I lost my center while compressing it. Should have spent a little more time cleaning up the punty mark. It's my largest so far and I was nervously trying to hurry and get it in the kiln. It's 1 5/8 in.

GA persimmon strike and NS green exotic. I just got the persimmon strike. That's the second time I've used it. The first was the air trap mushroom stalk from last week. I was pleasantly surprised with the multi color outcome. It looked like I boiled it way worse than I did while I was working it.
During a recent move my glass got all mixed up. The only colors names I'm sure of are the ones I've bought since living here. You are the second person that's asked me about it on this site. I knew both times!

Thanks for sharing, I guess we are going to have to start asking harder questions if you getting them right all the time.

Sometimes, amber purple-family colors and some striking reds can boil a little but still be OK in the final product... Don't count on it, but unlike cadmiums and whites and some other colors, they're not always an automatic fail if they boil and you forget to pick the bad spots off.

Nice color you got with that persimmon strike. I don't like it much on the outside but on the inside you got some good color!

Thanks Chris. I haven't done any outside work, pretty much just implosions and small inside out spoons. I prefer working on the art, but to make the glass pay for itself I have to make the pipes from time to time. I like the pendants Dave and Unta.

Beautiful showcase!
