Default John Olson Makes An Inside-Out Bead. FREE Video Tut.

This is really more like a demo than a bonafide tutorial, but it could be helpful to those interested in creating inside-out beads. John Olson is Pati Walton's husband, and an all-around really nice guy and very talented.

This is in no way a complete step-by-step.....it's just a snippet.
You can see it at: www.fireladyproductions.com under "Movies"
The actual link is: http://www.fireladyproductions.com/S...-Out_Bead.html

It's also on YouTube under firelady13.

Because this one has more visuals than instruction, I wasn't sure I should post it here, but then figured, hey, it's free.....if it helps even one person, good enough!

I do wish that YouTube's compression was much less jerky. The original file that's submitted to them is nice and smooth. ....

Tutorial Description
Inside-Out beads are created with boro tubing, fuming, and interior decoration. Artist John Olson creates a surrealistic and unique bead. I filmed this demo at the ISGB Gathering in Lowell, Mass.

It's an excerpt from the DVD "The Gathering: Highlights in Glass Beadmaking", which can be purchased at http://www.firelady.com. $5 from the sale of each DVD is donated to the ISGB. Other artists who demo on this DVD are: Emiko Sawamoto, Kristina Logan, Heather Trimlett, Mr. Cedi, Rob Eaton, Caitlin Hyde, & Emily Lake. Also, cameo appearances and comments by Leah Fairbanks and Corina Tettinger.
