Shouldn't be too hard to rig one up. I'm thinking some sort of a jar with 2 hose fittings soldered to the lid. Should be able to get what you need at Lowes/Home Depot.

you guys are on to something one of the scientific glassblowing co. i worked for had just a system they had a white grandular substance and as it was used it turned a light purple from the bottom up and when it was all purple they changed it.

had to do with trying to keep inpurites out of the glass, should keep water out of the back side but not the side of the jar you are on. i had a time figured out to take my blow hose and sling it like a sling shot around and around. worked o.k. until i forgot. of course you looked kindof funny maybe a little like david vs. goliath.

is it possible to rig something up using a "real tobacco pipe" filter?

could you put a cloth over the mouth piece to collect the moisture or at least some of it before it gets into the tube? or fill with gauze or something? just a thought.

You are over thinking this, this could be done for less than $10 at Lowes/Home Depot.

You would have to fill them with ice or something cold to condense the humidity in your breathe the problem isnt it being in the hose its when it gets into the tube that you have a problem.

It's not condensation that gathers in your blowhose it is spit. Drape the blowhose over
your neck. It won't get to your work. No complicated filters, water condensers, or any
other extra crap to deal with. I've been doing this for over 20 years, never get water
in my glass.

I made some heart pendants recently for my wife's birthday.

By the way, it's more than a year since my last post...
I'm afraid nobody remember me

The first prototype for my mammoth skeleton style sherlock. Hard to see any detail since its clear.

That is awesome can't wait to see some color on it because your right its hard to see the detail. Your control of the blown form is really improving.

Im not amaking fun when i say this but it reminded me of something alittle dirty at first. Honestly though, a mammoth skeleton will be great for a sherlock. Dont forget to show it off once you figure out your color scheme.

..and a snail/mushroom, courtesy of a Suellen Fowler demo. It fell off the punty on the final move and I had to repair/rebuild the snail back on - my ultimate test of patience!
