Cheap bonsai trim scissors work well as cup shears, cost about $15.
Painting spatulas work well for sculpting and aren't too expensive, assuming you can't find a suitable butter knife.
Canned food cans work well for a small scrap bucket that holds water. Once full, set aside until water evaporates, then seal and toss in trash. Perfect for those who make beads and small things.
Lastly, a magnetic tool holder is great for organizing your steel tools and freeing up some benchtop space.

Although I get lots of slugs and wasps that love cardboard and paper!!!!

yikes! The space I work in is just dusty, fortunately we don't have to worry abut stuff like that.
