Cases of Clear Rod
Where does everyone get their clear boro from? It makes more sense to me to buy it in cases or bulk since it is the vehicle for all the colors. I'm just new to it and don't know where to get alot of it for a good price.
Thanks,
Mike

I get mine from Adam at UST Glass. It's Schott Boro Artistic, the stuff PJ was talking about. I've been using for about a year now and I love it. The price is right too....

I'm lucky. I live about an hour from ABR and got Cody to drop off a case of simax last week on his way into the city. THAT's service! (I had planned to drive down to get it but it just worked out better that way.)
However, Karin swears by Kimax but ABR doesn't carry it so I'm about to find out of it makes that much of a difference to me.

My vote is for ABR. I've done 2 boro bulk buys and their glass is always delivered clean and well packed and I have never heard anything bad about their Simax glass.

Thanks so much for all of the imput. I live in Northwest Indiana and just did a color order from ABR and it got here in one day. I should have ordered bulk clear, but didn't think about it. What would you say the color-clear ratio is? I bought 12lbs of color and 3lbs of clear. I think I might need more clear.

i go through about 30x more clear than color(at least). i use a lot of silver and gold fume.
schott boro artistic is not a duran second. it is a first, it has good optical quality, and is cheap in price not quality. it does react to fume differently though.
i have used about 6o cases in the past 2 years.
