Default 96 COE mystery glass

I have about 4 rods of an unknown 96 coe transparent red that I love and would like to buy more. Anybody have any ideas on what to try? The pic is vetro candy apple red on top, then Lauscha, then the mystery glass.

The end of it looks like maybe it has a clear core. I did buy some veiled cane from a friend, but I have no clue if this was in there. Plus, the rod is very regular, like machine pulled. Sorry, I have no clue how to get a good picture of it.

My Saffron rods are very transparent orange so I don't think it's that one.

Thanks! I will try those. Elizabeth, that saffron looks more orange, but I never think the lampwork cane comes out looking much like the vessel samples anyway.

Teri, thank you. I will try the Gaffer also.

Raimond, I may resort to that.

It could be Reichenbach Strawberry R139.

I have that color red and it is from a long time ago. Messy 96. From CiM. It is a beautiful color. It is called St. Nick #516065 Although it doesn't seem to be quite as transparent.

Lorraine, that does look like the ends of my rod. I am hopeful that some of these others will prove to be as nice. Several look promising.

Thanks for the suggestion Shawnette. I have the R104 opaque Strawberry, and it is the same tone.

I think the 96 COE that was a short lived CIM offering had a color that was called St. Nick. I had some at one time. I'll look when I get to the studio and see if I have anymore left.

They have several 96 colors. I thought I would start with the red to see how they sell. They make these rods for the neon trade. We ran out of radiant red in 104 and the factory was out but the had it in 96. It does look like the same color to me.

I have one called light cherry red that looks that color. I can't remember if it is Reichenbach or Gaffer though...it has an orange undertone.
